Consultancy and training services available to police education, health and social service professionals regarding the protection of children and vulnerable adults.
The provision of services in the following areas:
Child protection training. The aims of the course are as follows:
- to raise awareness of the seriousness and prevalence of child abuse issues,
- to introduce the types and possible signs of abuse
- to explore appropriate courses of action and responsibilities for making referrals.
The learning outcomes will be:
- identification and appropriate responses to instances of suspected abuse,
- a basic understanding of the child protection issues,
- how to gain knowledge of local procedures and contact details.
Clients include independent schools in Cambridge, London, Peterborough, Plymouth and Woking. The University of Sheffield and York College. Cyprus Police, the Police Service of Northern Ireland, Republic of Slovakia Police and Republic of Slovenia Police.
