Nigel King Consultancy is committed to assisting the service provided to children and vulnerable persons by professionals in the statutory agencies, legal profession and voluntary sector.

VIDEO INTERVIEWS WITH CHILDREN OR VULNERABLE PERSONS

It is believed that we are the only Consultancy in the United Kingdom that provides an independent service to conduct investigative video interviews with children and vulnerable persons.

Consultancy staff are trained and accredited to conduct video interviews in accordance with ‘Achieving Best Evidence in Criminal Proceedings: Guidance for Intimidated Witnesses, including Children’ and provides video/audio equipment that complies with the legal requirement for court. They have been engaged by a number of legal firms and the quality of their work commended by a Crown Court judge.

They also provide a service to conduct both initial and refresher video interview training and quality assessment of video interviews.

CHILD PROTECTION TRAINING

The Consultancy has the knowledge and experience to provide guidance and training in matters relating to the abuse of children and vulnerable persons. Consultancy staff has delivered training to child protection agencies in the UK and Europe.

Child Protection Awareness or Refresher Training – includes half day or full day course, which include workshops.

CHILD ABUSE INVESTIGATIONS OR CASE REVIEWS

Enquiries into reported cases of child abuse are often complex and challenging for those tasked with such cases. Consultancy staff has many years of experience of investigating child abuse as a police enquiry and working jointly with local authority social child care workers. Staff can assist or undertake investigations or review cases undertaken by other agencies.
